- PendingPlease refer to attached tree inspection report Firstly, to section fell/dismantle four trees of mixed species including Ash and Elm trees exhibiting advanced die back and Dutch elm disease as they are within falling distance of the footpath and a road. The trees are located south of Old Rydon Lane in the clearing north of Liberty Way. Secondly, to complete a crown reduction of an English Oak by 1 to 1.5 metres as there are two recent limb failures and the tree is heavily weighted over the footpath. The crown reduction will reduce the end weight of the branches and the wind sail effect. The tree is located adjacent to the railway line near 29 Liberty Way. - PendingSilver birch I believe an Arborist has been to provide quotation to remove tree. Tree needs to be felled/removed. I suggest a site visit is made to see the issues. I don't know if any TPO exists but I would not think so it was planted by previous proprerty owner Reasons: It is firstly far too big now for the small gardens we have. The trunk of the tree is now leaning against my fence. The canopy blocks out my light in the garden and canopy is approx 12 feet into my garden. The roots have also started undermining my decking adjacent to the brick garden wall again this is a joint boundary wall with us and No1 Caroline Avenue. The tree also is in very close proximity to afoul sewer run serving properties 26,28 and 30 Batavia Drive and this is potentially will cause blockages in the future if tree is not removed. During the recent storm the trunk of the tree was moving the fence.1 Caroline Avenue Exeter EX2 7ATReceived 15 Oct 2026Trees26/1555/TPO3.77 km from centreExeter council

- ApprovedSee images. The English Yew trees have become an issue. Their appearance of being planted closely together indicates they may have originally been intended as a hedge. The trees have been maintained regularly but the cutting back of them has been subject to restrictions, so they have grown very tall and wide over time. This application is to obtain permission to return them back to a hedge height and width. The issues are as follows: - they are situated very close to and overhang an electrical sub-station - phones lines are threaded through them, so this and the above point may cause risks to infrastructure - the amount of material falling from the trees blocks the property's gutters and drains on a regular basis - the debris from the trees covers the public side road, property driveway and path to the front door which, when wet, can be slippery and of concern for the safety of the occupants, especially an elderly resident, plus occupants of next door and visitors to both properties. We are proposing the Yew Trees are cut to a height of 4m and 2 metres wide. This allows for clearance under the phone cables and room for growth, remove the overhang from the electrical substation, and 50cm on the road side to align with the road edge.3A St Loyes Road Exeter EX2 5HAReceived 15 Sept 2026Decided 13 Oct 2026Trees26/1400/CAT2.58 km from centreExeter council
- PendingTree T20; This tree has 2 low branches which are growing at a curved angle and my tree surgeon expressed concerns that this could lead to instability of the branches as time goes on. The branches are also very heavy, blocking a street lamp and growing over a path which leads from houses to the garages/ parking area. Take branches back approx 6-10 metres (depending on branch) to allow the street lamp to illuminate the pathway for residents. This is the access path from their houses to their garages and is in frequent use. In addition these are potential 'hazard beams' (and can become unstable) due to the angle of growth. Trees T13-18; Are growing over a major public footpath (the trees are on Wellingtonia Park Management Company land), the path is a walkway used by many members of the public, school children and NHS Staff in particular T14 (tree on the left) Take branches overhanging path back 3-6 metres (depending on branch), to behind the 'lower' fence line T15 (on the left) Take branches overhanging path back 3-6 metres approx (depending on branch), to behind the 'lower' fence line T16 (on the left) Take small tree back approx 3-6 metres (depending on branch), to behind the 'lower' fence lineStreet Record Lister Close ExeterReceived 15 Sept 2026Trees26/1402/TPO3.75 km from centreExeter council
